Heyas, I'm becky or gg8473 online. I use she/her and it/its. I'm an Irish lesbian jack-of-all-trades. If it exists, I will try it. I animate, I've a few comics, sometimes I make games and now I'm giving webdev a crack!

I love creating stories about weird girls in weird worlds. I've been told my work is very tense... good! That's what I aim for. It's so hard to tell fear from excitement, isn't it?

When i'm not doing all that; I'm either sewing, collecting ball-jointed dolls or cooking up my own yaoi. I run the yuri evn webring! I'd love nothing more than for you to check it out!!

The Website

This is V3 of GG8473.com. I started off with a fool lover's template, I will always recommend them for anyone who just want to get up and started. But as I learnt more about CSS and modern web design, I wanted to have a site that was all my own: focused on accessibility, ease and understanding.

I'm someone who likes to know the newest thing, how do I get a better understanding, where could I cut code and create a better system for myself... you know, work smarter, not harder!

what programs/brushes do you use?

for art: i use clip studio paint. brush-wise, i'm currently obsessed with this halftone drawing set. i also love this marker set.

for animation: i use clip studio paint and tvpaint. i use blender for video editing.

do you take commissions?

sometimes! if you want to keep up, i post about them on bsky.

can i use your art as icons/sidebars/profile pictures/etc?

for fanart: yes! you can use my fanart for personal use only. feel free to use them. please credit me!

for commissions: not unless you commissioned it. do not repost my art.

honestly it'll depend on what mood i'm in, and where you're asking to post it. just ask me, you've a good chance.

first of all, thank you. you're a real fan. i am happy that something i've drawn has stuck in your mind.

honestly... try your luck. if you catch me in the right mood, i might post it. but a lot of my older work is kept under lock and key for personal reasons. thanks for understanding.

i use vs code as my editor and ren'py as my game engine.

webdev

how'd you make this site?

With 11ty, love and a lot of time. I'm currently a big fan of CSS grids. It's a fairly easy way of getting into "bento box" style of webpages, if that's what you're after.

I use a mix of SSGs and static sites... Sometimes, you have to html and css it.

why'd you make this site?

Making your own space, being able to show off your work your way, giving visitors a positive site experience and most importantly, being able to express myself are the vast reasons! There's no ceiling when it comes to webdev. I love all the challenges and how fun it is to create a space!

I think there's so many options out there for artists who want to have a home on the web. We don't have to be locked into one way.
