March Update

Remember in my Feb update I said I was going to gamedev... Yeah... Not happening....... In fact... I had to put the kibosh on everything creative-wise.... T_T

I got an IUD in at the end of Feb to stop my mystery case of Extreme Forever Periods (which were keeping me housebound. I couldn't go outside without bleeding through clothes x_x). I can just about sit down... or at least not without many, many breaks! Even sitting on a bus is killing me right now.

This is more MY FAULT then the IUD. I have quite weak hips, I carried a mattress days after getting it inserted... I was going too hard on carido... Then my first period post insertion happened... u_u I have never been more betrayed by my uterus.

So please. GET UP AND STRETCH. START TODAY!!

I've basically been bedridden since. I have the occasional good days where I'm able to walk pain free and my mood is good. I'm hoping that's the worst of it now that it's been over a month, but it does take 3 months to fully settle... And I'm praying my period stops. It's the ONE THING I WANT!!

So. I haven't been able to draw or get much work done... I have been able to get some small bjd and sewing projects done thankfully. It's so shite but I know if I push it I'll be only further damaging myself. I have been able to write on my phone with obsidian (and the power of syncthing) but my moods been so shocking u_u BUT we need time to rest. Whether through choice or not... You must. I'm looking forward to trying out the new version of csp when I'm feeling better!!

I wanted to be open about this since SO MANY PEOPLE SUFFER!! Period pain is real, can be so invasive and decrease your quality of life : ( I was feeling so embarrassed and ugly LMAO

On the bright side! I've a job lined up for the next few months so fingers crossed my unemployment curse has ended. It's SO tough out here right now.

On one of my good days, I managed to get out and go deer spotting with a friend.

I'm slowly making progress on v3 of gg8473.com! I was inspired from the smallweb chat at citruscon to finally give 11ty a go, and from there it gave me confidence to try css grids and modernize my site. I'm really looking forward to when play/pause and css dark/light gets brought to all browsers... That's the annoying thing. There's so many cool accessibility/modern css I want to add but it takes a while for them to be added... I want to be js free...

I also got around to playing the latest paranormasight. I cried LIKE A BABBBYYYY!!!!! I loved every single moment! It's such a gorgeous game...
