yippee kickstarter banning nsfw i love seeing other nsfw artists be debanked <3

Kickstarter officially banning adult content now. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks to have yet another part of the internet that I've been explicitly evicted from. Digital gentrification is exhausting.

i really dont have a lot in me to say anymore. it's so obvious.

what kills me is the doublespeak. "spicy". lol. lol. LOL. Who gets to decide what's "spicy" and what's explicit? it's not me or you... it's our god loving bank overlords <3 I HATE EVERY TWEE LITTLE CORPO WORD!! i gives me the same headrush as to when i see the word "sapphic" FUCK OFF. SAY LESBIAN!!!! DONT BE SO CUTESY................!!!

im trying not to get so angry over "prohibited genital". BUT I AM. SCREAMING!! whos?????? WHICH ONES???

do you ever think about people being so enraged about erotic novels written by women for women fueled this language <3 heh <3 omg i swear i just care about the QUALITY and not because i think these people are dumb for enjoying something i deem cringe <3 i love seeing babys first feminism over and over and over and over!!!! lets jump off a cliff!!!

i try to post about this on my blog, since news these days just comes at such a rapid pace then everyone forgets. I don't blame them. there's so much going on at the moment...

ok ok. i'll stop. for any of my fellow nsfw/queer/dark artists... here are my tips:

• stop tagging.

i hate that this is the most helpful tip. do not use descriptors for your work. i would avoid using alt text on sites such like bsky, as these terms will show up in the search results. they're using cw/tws against us. i hope one day in the future this will not be the case. i personally use "creator chose not to use content warnings".

• have a website or use an alternative host (like poipiku)

to at least give yourself a wall from people who get angry at this kickstarter news, but then will freak the fuck out about someone drawing and animal crossing characters with boobs. be cautious!! it's a good blocker... you will not believe how little these aggressors will click through. even if you just have a blank site, it's better then nothing. you have a lot more control over its reach. KEEP A LOCAL COPY. do not upload your images via imgur/etc... these are flimsy and cannot be seen by people in the uk.

Remember: PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE SUPPORT US!! i'm always floored when people tell me how much they enjoy my work, are happy to see nsfw exist and thriving ;w; people need your work!! need your art!!!
