Linux 3
Well well well... I'm back to where I started.
I really did think I had it. But my tablet is old and doesn't have support. I can get it work via opentabletdriver, but the pen pressure is all off and it drives me crazy. It won't recognise my pen and you have to press down ever so slightly to get it to register, so nothing happens for the first part of the penstroke. It's like having a halfsecond delay on a controller. I need to have ultra-sensitive reactions because I've had hand issues in the past when I've worn down pencils and pens from how hard I hold them... I don't wanna go back!!
I will be following this tutorial found via this reddit post.

EC has an updated tutorial which is much easier to follow thankfully!
- Deviations from video:
- If you can't access your BIOS in Linux Mint via F12 or F2, open up the terminal and enter:
- This will reboot your computer and enter you into the BIOS. Enable Intel Virtualization Technology from there.
systemctl reboot --firmware-setup
Downloading windows 10 took forever so that's your warning. You do need a product key but, I'm sure you're smart enough.
I GOT MY TABLET TO WORK AND IT WORKS BETTER THAN IT EVER DID ON MY ACTUAL WINDOWS OS... Tomorrow I will try CSP. It's such a headbanger lol. I;m hoping in future more people will move over to Linux, and they're smarter than me and figure out a better way. It's grand for now. I don't know if I need the windows activation key but that's future's gg8473's problem.
Yuri
I finally read green yuri/The guy she was interested in wasn't a guy at all by Sumiko Arai. I've been trying to make sure I buy (or borrow from the library) one-shot yuri manga instead of reading them via... other means... So I tend to get around to reading/watching/playing recs my friends give me yonks afterwards. Sorry!! I STILL HAVE TO GET THE LAST TWO VOLUMES OF THE SUMMER HIKARU DIED AND THEN I'LL WATCH THE ANIME PROMISE..!!
I was going to write this off before my friend Molly said they'd recently read it and they thought I'd actually enjoy it. And I found out the local comic/manga place where I am had it back it stock. I wished I grabbed the two volumes, but moooneyyyy
HOW ADORABLE!!! I'm a massive romcom/misunderstandings lover... this is so perfectly done TwT enough believability and drama, and then of course the big reveal! it's very teenage and human. Osawa is SUCH a cutie ;w; There's so much more yuri, and of all different types. It's nice to have some lovingly made low stakes drama lesbians.
Other yurisims
I hope over the course of this week I'll move the yuri evn webring over to my new host! I'm annoyed it took me this long, as there's so many games to be added and shared! Thanks everyone for understanding and helping out with site bugs and of course, applying to the ring! There's so many cool games... There's so much lesbianism...
I think that's why I don't tolerate the lesbian media discourse most times. Oh there just isn't enough/why is it all like X... You're not looking hard enough, end of story. Don't come to me saying all that when I remember furiously googling "cat and bunny courage the cowardly dog lesbians????" AND THAT'S ALL WE HAD...! Now more than ever it's important to look to your peers, to more indie artists then to the mainstream. It's going to get a lot rougher here on out, more then it already is. There's been rising backlash, but I don't think it's hit its peak yet sadly.
If you haven't seen it, there's about 200 new yuri vns thanks to the toxic yuri gam jam. I highly encourage you to play whatever catches your eye!
I can't play all of them (chained to linux now... please devs export a linux vers so i can play on my steamdeck.......), but I've started Ten Metre Tide and I'm blown away. The sheer amount of textile work is incredible. I've been a bit busy but I'm dying to get stuck into more vns.
Blaugust thoughts
I joined this on a bit of a whim, like I do with most things. I knew I wasn't going to hit all 30 days, and I wasn't putting pressure on myself to do so. I might have a few after this (i have many, many hndr line thoughts), but I'm considering this blog the last of the blaugustes.
It's been a personal goal of mine to get back into blogging or "longform posts" lol I've always struggled with nonfiction, but I did post a lot on tumblr... so... the medium is the massage?
Walk in the Sun was the first original writing I'd shared in years. I've struggled with sharing text, because I was fully convinced people were able to read my mind if they saw my writing. You'd be able to uncover some awful unknown truth about how my thoughts work, or something. It falls apart the second it's questioned, but it was a very real barrier to me. It's why I didn't make comics and even avoided having dialogue in my sketches/artwork I shared online. I did make some of course, but it almost caused a physical pain. I was that worried about what people would think of me. Brains are odd.
Anyway. Blogging.
I'd recommend doing a blogging challenge like this to others who want to exercise their muscles. You've more to say then you think, and being able to structure an idea or diary in a way that makes sense is a real refresher. Blogging can be as low or high stakes as you wish. No one can stop you.
I do hope more people blog in the future. Sometimes I read posts on socmedia that are exploring a topic that I know nothing about, but I want to know more! But its' trapped as a 200 word thought!! Which is fine for some things, we all joined these shortform platforms for a reason. It's easy and chill... when it's going well. It's when you start seeing those threads that are (1/55) posts long... NOOOOOO HOW DID WE MESS UP SO BADDD....
